Our Chapter serves the Greater Nevada County and Sierra County areas from our core membership base in Grass Valley/Nevada City. We conduct quarterly social and educational events that often include speakers from the University or the Cal Community. We provide outreach to the local High Schools and provide scholarships to incoming Freshman. We host a reception for newly admitted Cal students and their parents to introduce them to campus representatives and welcome them to Berkeley. The proceeds from these events raise funds for scholarships for students from our area. Our distance from Berkeley has not been a deterrent to a healthy membership base that is still very well connected to the campus and thus really keeps in touch with Cal!
