California (6-2, 3-2 Pac-10) returns home to host Oregon State (5-3, 3-2 Pac-10) at Memorial Stadium this Saturday. After dropping the first two games of its Pac-10 schedule at Oregon and vs. USC, the Bears are back to their winning ways with a current three-game victory streak. Cal dominated in triumphs at UCLA (45-26) and vs. Washington State (49-17) to start the run, and last Saturday pulled out a 23-21 win at Arizona State after Giorgio Tavecchio connected on a 24-yard field goal with 0:21 remaining to cap a 74-yard drive on the Bears' final possession. The Golden Bears rank second in the Pac-10 and No. 18 nationally in scoring offense with an average of 33.63 points per game. Cal's lofty ranking comes despite a total of only six points in the back-to-back losses at Oregon and vs. USC. The Bears are averaging 43.8 points per contest in their six victories.
Join the Cal Alumni Club of Washington, DC and fellow Berkeley alumni to cheer on the Bears as they take on Oregon State. For those of you who have not joined us yet at Sign of the Whale, we have a tremendous showing of alums (200+) and expect the bar to be filled, so arrive early if you want a seat... As always, the Sign will have beer and wing specials for us with multiple flat screens to take in the game.
Go BEARS!
