The CNR Alumni Association is co-hosting a public lecture with the School of Social Welfare on Thursday, April 7. Frances Moore Lappe is the founder of Food First and the auther of many books, including her first book Diet for a Small Planet which sold over 3 million copies worldwide.
Earlier that same day, the CNR Alumni Association will host an Alumni Career Panel for students and alumni interested in learning more about careers in the food industry with a focus on environmental sustainability. Consider taking a personal day, joining us at the career panel, and staying for the evening lecture.
Our food choices have a substantial impact on the environment, perhaps more than the kind of automobile we drive. Hear from alumni whose jobs center around the issues of land, water, energy, and chemical use to bring the food we eat to our tables.
